As we get older, we find out our parents were not as dumb as we thought they were.  As a parent, I have found that I am not as smart as I thought I was.  Parents have a large responsibility not to just feed and cloth their children, but also to prepare them for adulthood.  We are going to look at King David today.  He could lead a nation but struggled when it came to leading his family.
