You and I struggle with the same problem from time to time.  The problem is that we sometimes do not feel like we can get close to God or even have a right to do so.  Years of wrong thinking have taken a toll on our self-image, and we have believed the lie of the devil.  We needed an intervention.  We need a divine intervention. That is why Jesus came.  He came to intervene in our lives so we can start to see ourselves as God sees us.
