Why Are We Here?
This is a big question, but there is only one all inclusive answer. God has put us here for a reason, and that is to live for Him. You may say to yourself, "I just want to enjoy life". But pleasure in this life doesn't ensure pleasure in the next. There is a life after what we are experiencing now. For some it will be a life of peace and joy with Christ Jesus, but for others it will be a life of hell and terror. You may say, "That doesn't sound fair", but actually it is. The choices we make in this life can and will affect the next. It's OUR choice. Some say, "We will all get there", or "I'm a good person", but they are truly deceived. Matt. 7:13-14 says,
"Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life and few are those who find it".

Jesus Christ is the narrow gate by which we enter because John 14:6 says,
Jesus said unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.

The only way back to God is through Jesus Christ and being cleansed by His precious blood. The reason we can't go to God on our own merit is because we are sinners, or meaning we have a sin nature. We must repent and turn from our sin because Acts 3:19 says,
"Repent therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that the times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord".

You and I were bought with a price. Jesus Christ was sinless but yet chose to shed His own blood to pay our debt for sin. 1Peter 1:19 says,
"Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ".

He alone has earned the right to be the Lord of our life. Romans 10:9-13 says,
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him; for WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED".

It has been said that some people will miss heaven by 12 inches, (the distance for their head to their heart). In their head they say they know God, but in their heart, He is not Lord of their life. It may sound radical, but either Jesus is Lord of all or He is Lord of nothing. Knowing God needs to be our first priority. Above all else, it is the most important decision we will ever make because it affects where we spend eternity. By waiting, or choosing not to decide is the same as rejecting Him. Romans 6:23 says,
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord".

You and I deserve death............... or we can accept the free gift of eternal life from God. Don't miss heaven by 12 inches in this life and end up missing Him for all eternity. Let's accept WHY WE ARE HERE and start living a life to bring glory to God. Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior today.

How to accept Jesus into your life
1) acknowledge need - without sense of need, why bother
2) repent (Godly sorrow) hate sin and turn away from it
3) ask Jesus to wash your sins away by His blood
4) confess Jesus as Lord of your life

If you would like to give your life to Jesus and ask Him to be Lord of all your life, you can pray to Him something like this:
Lord God I come to you a sinner. I confess that I cannot save myself. Only you Jesus can save me from my sins. I ask you now to cleanse me with Your precious blood. By faith, I confess you as Lord. I give my life to you, now You can give Your life to me. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' Name I pray.

If you sincerely prayed this prayer, you are now a Christian and God is your Heavenly Father. To keep this relationship strong:
1) read your Bible daily
2) pray daily (communicate with God)
3) find a good spiritual church (may not be the one you were raised in)
4) tell people about the decision you have made, be a witness

If you prayed to ask Jesus into your heart, we would like to hear from you. Please fill out information below. Thank you and God bless.
